“This is an accelerated program, ideal for sales-driven people with a desire to start their own business. They might lack the funds or the management experience, and this is a way for us to access and nurture great talent,” he says.
In addition to providing the franchise loan, Express gives candidates business and leadership training in a 12-month runway to opening their own Express office.
“There is an intense focus on building the business and helping the new franchisee to develop a team,” he says, “after this we gravitate to a strategic focus for the business.”
Candidates work in existing Sydney offices while learning how to transition from employee to owner. McColl shares what they’re looking for in a potential franchisee:
